Terms of Service
Template notice: this is a general-purpose starting point, not legal advice, and it isn't tailored to your specific business structure (sole trader vs. registered company), VAT status, or jurisdiction. Have a professional review and complete it, especially the placeholders, before relying on it.

1. Who we are
Layer Labs ("we", "us") is a 3D printing studio based in Malta [placeholder: add your registered business name and number here if applicable]. These terms apply to any order placed through this website.
2. Orders & pricing
Prices shown at checkout are in EUR and include VAT where applicable [placeholder: confirm your VAT registration status]. An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed by our payment provider, Stripe; you'll receive a confirmation and can track its status under My Orders.
3. Custom quotes & uploaded models
When you upload a model for a custom quote, you confirm that you own the rights to it, or have permission to have it printed, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's intellectual property. We reserve the right to decline to print a model, for example if it appears unsafe, infringing, or is a copy of a copyrighted or trademarked design without permission.
Because custom and made-to-order prints are produced specifically for you, they're excluded from the standard 14-day change-of-mind return window. See Shipping & Returns for the full policy, including what happens if something arrives faulty.
4. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for any orders placed under your account. Let us know at layerlabsprinting@gmail.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
5. B2B / bulk orders
Business partnerships and bulk production arrangements are agreed separately (see the B2B page) and may be covered by their own written agreement, which takes precedence over these general terms for that relationship.
6. Liability
3D-printed parts are provided as described, but we don't guarantee fitness for a specific structural, load-bearing, or safety-critical purpose unless explicitly agreed in writing beforehand. [Placeholder: a professional should help you scope this properly, especially for automotive/functional parts.]
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under EU law as a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU.
